Back on line

Back on line thanks to Telstra - free for a month too!!! Well we've spent the first two day just sleeping and chatting to friends. Caught up with Paul and Adrienne, our special link people, the other night and had a great time. Looking forward to see others real soon - though we will take our time to see you all. Thanks to all who have commented, it means a lot to us to have you on board. Looking into the future at the moment and seeing what we think is good things. Pray for the Jones' on their journey. Cya.

We're gone...

It's 3:45 pm and we are just filling time before we leave for the airport. Had a great day in the city eating our favourite Czech snacks and drinking the hot wine, UMMMMM very good in cold weather. Speaking of the cold, last night was the coldest night this winter -10 degrees celsius, brrrrrrrr. Looking forward to some warm weather and a soft landing in Perth - thanks Pete and Deb. For our next blog, we'll see ya on the other end of the world.

Back in Prague...

Hey we are back in Prague after a long drive - we got lost - but the kids did get to play in the snow. They were just fun to watch as they played and experienced frozen water! Sarah was very funny to, having got out of the car in excitiment but got back in real quick becasue it was soooo cold. Beau got to experince black ice close up, I had just told them all not to run when, swooooosh bang, WAH! Matt even brought home a snow ball he called Mr Ball after our friend in Oz called 'Ray Ball'. It is now safely stored in the freezer down stairs. I really don't know what he is going to do with it but that's our Matt!!
We had a great time in Berlin, the history and power of the city is incredible, but it doesn't look as if we are moving there anytime soon. Will post a Berlin Photo album soon. Cya.

de Herr der Ringe

Spent the day wandering, wandering, wandering - well driving, as my feet are too sore to wander any more - through the outer/eastern suburbs of Berllin. In the last 10 years they have done a great job in rebuilding and renovating the eastern city. But sadly they have run out of money, so you have fabulously colourful Panel Locks (Blocks of flats in Oz) next to buildings that should be condemnd but are still inhabited - hence the photo of the Berlin sky - which I took, very clever don't you think.

The Jones' are up in Berlin too, they came up check out the city but mainly for the European Premier of de Herr der Ringe (Lord of the Rings). So we went into town to see the stars and got to see them, very exciting but couldn't see the Jones' in the crowd. We will be hooking up with them this morning and then it's back to Prague tomorrow. Cya.

Berlin...

We're off to Berlin tomorrow, so if we are little slow getting back to you via email, you'll understand. Little kown fact, "Berlin has the fastest growing Jewish community in the world" - how very redemptive! Cya.

We're back...

Had a great trip today, just 14 hours, two countries, 4 border crossings, 200 kms, 2 languages and a totally different culture and we're back. Before we left everyone shared what would make this a great trip for each person in the Peach and then we made every effort to make it happen. For some it was Burger King or new socks or pick up a pumpkin for Thanksgiving. I would tell you more but Sarah is going to blog tommorow so I would hate to steal some of her thunder. For me it was what I thought was silence, but it think it was more about Peace - I got it. Cya.

On the road...

We're on the road tommorow to fullfill some of our Visa requirements, we'll be heading to Dresden - Germany for the the day. It's only 2 hours from Prague and we are hoping to enjoy a small German village experience or see the Christmas stalls and sites in the city center or maybe even a traditional German meal of 'Hungry Jacks' - Burger King to the non West Australians - can you believe it, we are all craving it so that's what we're having for lunch! So its "Guten Tag' from me.
